"Andersen customers expect quality, service and competitive pricing. We strive for perfection in all three of these areas."
- Dan Andersen, President
The Andersen Companies
Hands-on management and the desire to provide a personal level of service have helped The Andersen Companies rise to the top of any list of interior subcontractors in the industry. With the motto "When your project really matters", what else would you expect?
Andersen's affiliated companies provide a complete range of interior contracting services to general contractors, commercial developers, and building owners and managers, mainly in New Jersey, New York and the surrounding areas. Andersen projects include office buildings, retail stores and shopping centers, industrial sites, hotels, schools and hospitals and various other public buildings. Services include metal stud and drywall partitions, taping and spackling, wood and light gauge steel framing, insulation, acoustical ceilings, rough and finished carpentry, as well as fine architectural woodworking, cabinetry, doors and trim.
The Andersen Corporation was founded in January 1974 and after managing that company through a phenomenal growth phase, Dan Andersen sold it in 1986 and started Andersen Interior Contracting, a company that by design has a narrower focus, primarily in the carpentry trades. After the original company subsequently closed in 1988, Andersen was able to bring most of his former staff into the new company.
In 1989, a separate company, Corporate Woodworking, with a focus on high-end architectural woodworking, was formed by Andersen, and today it ranks as one of the Northeast's premier woodworking companies.
The Andersen Companies maintain a 29 person office staff, and employ up to 300 field and shop employees. Operations are all located in Andersen's own modern 33,000 square foot facility in Fairfield, NJ encompassing corporate offices and a state-of-the-art woodworking shop. A separate 13,000 square foot facility handles the firms warehousing needs.
